With the retirement of the SWASP program that many folks are familiar with, it’s extra-important to take advantage of the other programs.
In particular, February 2nd marks the deadline for employers to apply to the Canada Summer Jobs program for positions starting between April 23rd and July 22nd, 2018. This program provides up to 50% of the minimum hourly wage for 6-16 weeks to employ a student who is returning to their studies in the fall. The eligibility criteria are very broad, and include most private and public organizations and categories of work.
